Car Rental Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Fin Travels . These Car Rental Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, booking platform, customer service channels, and vehicle rental services. By making a reservation or renting a vehicle through Fin Travels , you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. Rental Eligibility
The primary renter must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid, government-issued driver’s license held for a minimum of one (1) year. Certain vehicle categories may require a higher minimum age. International renters may be required to present a passport and an International Driving Permit (IDP). Fin Travels reserves the right to refuse service if eligibility requirements are not met.
2. Reservations & Booking Confirmation
All car rental reservations are subject to vehicle availability and supplier confirmation. Booking confirmations indicate an intent to reserve a vehicle category, not a specific make, model, or color unless expressly stated. We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations that appear incomplete, inaccurate, unverifiable, or fraudulent.
3. Rental Rates, Taxes & Additional Charges
Displayed rental rates generally reflect the base vehicle cost only. Additional charges may apply, including local taxes, airport surcharges, optional add-ons, mileage fees, fuel charges, late return penalties, and administrative or service fees. A detailed price breakdown is presented prior to final confirmation.
4. Payment & Security Deposit
A valid credit or debit card in the renter’s name is required at the time of booking and/or vehicle pickup. An authorization hold or security deposit may be placed on the card to cover potential damages, additional charges, or policy violations. The renter authorizes Fin Travels and its rental partners to process applicable charges during or after the rental period.
5. Insurance & Optional Protection
Basic liability coverage may be included depending on the rental location and supplier. Optional protection products such as Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection, Supplemental Liability Coverage, or Personal Accident Insurance may be offered at an additional cost. Renters are responsible for understanding coverage limits, exclusions, and deductibles before accepting any optional coverage.
6. Authorized Use of Vehicle
The rental vehicle must be used responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The renter agrees that the vehicle will not be used for:
- Illegal or unlawful activities
- Racing, speed testing, or off-road driving
- Towing or pushing other vehicles
- Commercial use or ride-sharing services
- Operation by unauthorized or unlisted drivers
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
7. Fuel Policy & Mileage
Fuel policies vary by rental supplier and location and are disclosed during booking. Common policies include full-to-full or prepaid fuel options. Vehicles must be returned with the agreed fuel level to avoid refueling charges. Mileage restrictions, if applicable, are stated at the time of reservation.
8. Vehicle Condition, Damage & Cleaning
The renter is responsible for the condition of the vehicle from pickup until return. Any accident, theft, damage, or mechanical issue must be reported immediately. Additional charges may apply for vehicle damage, excessive wear, smoking violations, lost keys, or excessive interior cleaning.
9. Changes, Cancellations & No-Shows
Modifications or cancellations must be made in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy provided at the time of booking. Failure to collect the vehicle at the scheduled pickup time may be treated as a no-show, resulting in partial or full forfeiture of rental charges.
10. Force Majeure & Service Limitations
Fin Travels is not liable for delays, cancellations, or service disruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, supplier issues, government actions, or mechanical failures.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Fin Travels shall not exceed the amount paid for the rental booking. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of personal belongings or missed travel plans.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from a car rental booking or use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts within the United States.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By proceeding with a car rental reservation or accepting a rental vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Car Rental Terms & Conditions. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.
