Twelve nights & thirteen days tour
Day 1:
Leave Colombo early morning for Anuradhapura (UNESCO Cultural heritage city)via Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage (the first and only Elephant orphanage in the world).
Late morning and afternoon – visit the ancient archaeological sights such as temples (some as high as the pyramids of Egypt), monuments, famous rock carvings, ruins of the Brazen Palace and the 2300 year old Bo tree(the oldest tree in recorded history- a sapling from the tree where Lord Buddha attained Buddhahood).
Night stay at Palm Garden Village or similar hotel.

Day 2:
Early breakfast and leave for Polonnaruwa (UNESCO Cultural heritage city) via Mihitale. Visit the ruins of the Royal Palace , the Gal Viharaya. Afternoon/evening hours city tour of Polonnaruwa.
Night at Deer Park hotel or similar.
Day 3:
Leave for Sigiriya early morning. During the morning hours climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress and view the ancient frescos of the ‘Heavenly maidens’ and also visit the Dambulla Rock Temple . Both these locations are UNESCO Cultural heritage sites.
Night stay at Sigiriya Village or similar hotel.

Day 4 & Day 5:
After breakfast leave for Kandy via Matale visiting famed Spice Gardens. City tour of Kandy- also a UNESCO Cultural heritage city, which was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.Here you will visit the impressive Palace where the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is housed.
Night at Mahaweli Reach Hotel or similar for two nights.

Day 6 & Day 7:
Next morning after breakfast leave for the upcountry town of Nuwara Eliya. On your way you will see water falls and endless green mountains covered in tea bushes and maidens picking tea leaves.City tour of Nuwara Eliya to visit a tea estate and the grandeur of our colonial past.
Night at Hill Club, Grand Hotel or similar.
Day 8:
After breakfast from Nuwara Eliya proceed via Bandarawela, Tissa to Yala Game sanctuary where you will be captivated by a variety of wild life ranging from leopards, elephants, peacocks, deer, spectacular birds and more.
Night at Yala Village or similar.

Day 9:
Half a day safari in the morning or afternoon hours and relax on the beach.
Night at Yala Village or similar.
Day 10 & Day 11:
Leave Yala Game sanctuary for a Beach resort in the southern or southwestern coastal area. Galle , Hikkaduwa or Bentota. Relax and enjoy endless golden beaches and walk around and get a taste of Sri Lanka.

Day 12:
Leave the beach resort area for Colombo . Accommodation in city hotel with city tour. In Colombo you can shop at upmarket shopping arcades and sri Lankan craft shops, visit the national museum, enjoy the night life, just relax by the pool and more
Day 13
Leave Colombo for airport departure.
